Cardone Capital, a U.S. real estate investor, announced on June 21 that it has officially added Bitcoin to its investment strategy by purchasing around 1,000 BTC.
The company, which manages about $5 billion in assets and owns over 14,200 apartment units, said it plans to buy another 3,000 BTC and add 5,000 more real estate units this year. The goal is to build a portfolio that mixes steady income from real estate with the long-term growth potential of Bitcoin.

CEO Grant Cardone explained that the company’s new approach combines income-producing properties and Bitcoin. He said this strategy offers both stability and future upside.
Michael Saylor, a well-known Bitcoin advocate and founder of the Bitcoin strategy, congratulated Cardone on the move, writing, “Congratulations on acquiring 1000 BTC.”

Cardone Capital also said it’s open to working with partners to invest in what it calls “cryptorized” real estate — properties that are connected to the crypto market.

Cardone Capital Shifts Focus from Real Estate to Bitcoin

A recent infographic from Cardone Capital shows that the company plans to reduce its focus on real estate and invest more in Bitcoin over the next five years. In year one, 77% of its investments were in real estate, but by year five, that number is expected to drop to 45%. At the same time, its Bitcoin investments will grow from 23% to 66%.

So far, the company has invested nearly $100 million in Bitcoin and over $1 billion in real estate. It also plans to increase investments by at least $5 million in the future.
Cardone Capital said its first major Bitcoin investment involved spending $290 million to buy 2,914 BTC at an average price of $100,000 each. The company also plans to use $140 million in monthly cash flow from its real estate properties to buy even more Bitcoin over the next five years.

Cardone Capital’s move to combine real estate and Bitcoin highlights a growing trend in the crypto world known as real-world assets (RWA), where physical assets like property are linked to blockchain technology. However, the company has positioned itself as the first real estate firm in the world to allocate a large part of its portfolio to Bitcoin, with plans to invest even more over the next five years. Cardone Capital is the first company in this field to adopt this strategy. This step could become an important moment in crypto history and might encourage other companies to do the same.
