Crypto exchange Bybit has formally unveiled Byreal, its inaugural on‑chain decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Solana blockchain.
According to Byreal, its testnet will go live on June 30, with a full mainnet launch scheduled for Q3 2025.
The platform is designed to offer centralized exchange-level liquidity with the transparency and control of DeFi, positioning itself as a hybrid CeDeFi solution.
Byreal integrates two trading models called Request For Quote (RFQ) and Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker (CLMM) to enhance liquidity depth, reduce slippage, and minimize the risk of miner extractable value (MEV).
This structure is also intended to provide high-speed execution while maintaining an on-chain record for user visibility.
Ben Zhou, CEO of Bybit said, “Byreal isn’t just another DEX. It’s our vision for Real Hybrid Finance bringing together the best of centralized liquidity and decentralized transparency.”
Byreal will also feature a curated launchpad, which includes a Smart Price Ladder and Fairshare Engine to ensure equitable token distribution for new projects.
The DEX plans to offer yield vaults, such as bbSOL, Bybit’s liquid staking token for Solana, created in collaboration with leading Solana protocols including Sanctum, Kamino Finance, Orca, and Solayer.
Byreal’s website will be accessible via byreal.io upon launch.
A bold experiment at the intersection of CeFi and DeFi, whether Byreal platform can attract liquidity and capture market share against entrenched incumbents remains the defining test in the months ahead.
